| The
NAOBI, Inc. 2008 Conference Committee is currently
seeking creative presenters for our 11th Annual
Professional Development Conference. Ideal workshop
proposals should include cutting edge presentations
on: |

Educational Interpreting
Video Relay Interpreting
Freelance Interpreting
Religious Interpreting
Legal Interpreting
|
Multi-cultural Interpreting
Theatrical Interpreting
Distance Education
RID (CPC, testing, etc.)
Skills Development |
Technology
Global Trends
Business/Finance
Cultural Awareness
Health and Wellness |

All
workshop presentations will be three (3) hours in
duration and should focus on subject matter relevant
to the theme:
"Embracing the History...
Empowering the Future" |

| All
workshop Presenters will receive the following compensation: |
- Payment of $225 per workshop.
- Complimentary conference
registration: workshops, activities, and designated
meals.
- One (1) night lodging (day
of your presentation) and up to $250.00 travel
expenses reimbursed.

Proposal
Submission Process:
The following items
must ALL
be submitted as a package to the Conference Program
Chair by Thursday,
January 31, 2008,
in order for the presentation to be considered.
Incomplete proposal package submissions will NOT
be considered. |

- Workshop proposal (1-2 pages),
indicating target audience: Beginner, Intermediate,
Advanced or General
- Outline for proposed workshop
(1 page)
- Summary/Abstract of workshop
that can be utilized as a description in the
program book (250 words max.)
- Presenter's biography (to
be utilized in the program book, 250 words max.)
- RID Continuing Education
Activity Instructor's Form
